Edge glued panels (birch, oak wood) - Quality requirements

I. Quality requirements - mechanical working:
- Lamel's width 40-45 mm (or 18-20mm)
- Sanding granulation 80-120
- Right angle aberration 1 mm for each 1000 mm
- Warping 5 mm for each 1000 mm
- Humidity of the timber 8% ± 2%
- Dimensional tolerance -1 + 3 mm length,
-1 +3 mm width,
± 0,3 mm thickness - Packing single use pallets, protected corners, wrapped with foil and fastened together with belt
Classes - quality requirements:
Class A
- Sound knots, tight, light in color diameter up to 5 mm
- Black, full knots, tight diameter up to 3 mm
- Spots of up to 1 x 50 mm
- Strips matched according to the color
- Any other wood defect which is not mentioned to be excluded
Class B
- Sound knots, tight, light in color - acceptable
- Black, full knots, tight diameter up to 8 mm
- False heartwood acceptable up to 1/4 strip's width
- Spots and sagging up to 3 x 100 mm - acceptable
- Spacer marks non numerous acceptable - as less visible
- Putty repairs acceptable as "lens-shaped" or "cork-shaped" diameter up to 20 mm
- Strip matching according to the color less precise than in the case of Class A
- Any other wood defect which is not mentioned to be excluded
Class C
- Sound knots, tight, light in color - acceptable
- Black, tight and decay knots - acceptable
- False heartwood - acceptable
- Spots, sagging, dye penetrations - acceptable
- Spacer marks - acceptable
- Putty repairs - acceptable
- Strip matching according to the color - optional
